Hopefully, you are one under par so far on the back nine and are
looking to continue that trend of birdie golf. Number eleven is a great
hole to par, and a birdie is a bonus. This hole requires precision and
accuracy; it is not a power-hole. In order to make par, or better yet
birdie, you need to consider what shot off the tee box is going to leave
you with a distance to the green that is in your "comfort zone." This
means, what is your best golf shot in the 100-150 yard range? Once
you have established what you want your second shot to be, then you
can make the appropriate club selection off of the tee box. Remember,
placement is everything. Favor the right side of the fairway; this will
allow for the best approach shot to the green.

So, you are 120 yards out and looking for an approach shot that is
going to leave you with a reasonable putt. Consider that this is an
undulating green and the pin placement is the key to the approach
shot. The safe play is to the center of the green, and if you are looking to go for the pin, the danger level increases.
There is not much room for error since water is left and short, and mounds and grass bunkers are to the right. It is better to be
putting on this green than to have a difficult chip with a tough lie. Go for the safe play, two putt the green, and be very pleased to walk away from this hole with a well deserved par.
